It's madness, I tell ya

We have every kind of precipitation there is to have in the last 24 hours, with the possible exception of hail. Rain, freezing rain, sleet, heavy wet snow, fine snow, flurries, snow squalls, snow showers, blowing snow ...

You'd think March madness had started already.

  2. We had about twenty centimetres of snow out of the last system to blow through here yesterday. I was out in the height of it, and the winds had picked up to the point where I couldn't see much more then twenty metres away.

    1. The winds, that's the killer. A snowfall that would hardly be noticed here otherwise can bring things to a halt when the wind starts blowing.

  3. Well, my Mom is in VA and I have friends further up North, and I've heard all about this strange snow and other weather. But really, where you live sounds like an amusement park for weather! So sorry it is dreary! Wish I could package you sunny and lovely weather like we had today in Florida! Today was gorgeous, and I was so happy because my son had a Birthday party outside (he invited friends to do sports all afternoon and to swim). I think clouds and rain would have nipped that in the bud. Thank God for good weather, especially when you need it! Take care, Mark!

    1. Sunny weather would be nice! We'll get ours, though -- it's supposed to be sunny for part of the upcoming week and into the high 40's, although it's only 19 at the moment.

I had an outside birthday party for my daughter once -- it was blustery and we froze our tails off. It was late June!
