Medals For Bruce

There's a petition going around to strip Bruce Jenner of all Olympic medals, what with Bruce actually being Caitlyn and all. (Why change the name? I know a woman named George--why not Bruce?)

Take medals away? Seems to me it should be the opposite. If Bruce felt he was a woman, but set records in sports where usually men get the faster time, then shouldn't he (or she, whatever) actually get an extra special medal? Like ... the platinum? Or the diamond medal? Diamonds are a girl's best friend.

If the medals should be taken away for anything, it should be for dumbing down America through participation in reality TV.

The big question is: Why do we care? As long as it's not being funded by taxpayers, let Bruce Jenner turn himself into a girl, a gorilla, a lemur, whatever. There are way worse problems in the world, such as ISIS, Congress … the other female Kardashians.

  1. I like your notion of what the medals really should be taken away for.

I saw an editorial cartoon the other day that made me laugh- Caitlin Jenner holding a video camera and declaring they're in love.

  2. Truth is women all over the world are probably jealous that a man can not only fit into their jeans but look a lot better in a dress too. LOL I say let him keep the medals--maybe he can melt them down for a man-sized (a-hem) chastity belt.

    1. Caitlyn looks 20 years younger than Bruce did! So, good for her.

  3. He/she won the medals when he was still Bruce, so he's still entitled to them.

  4. He/she won those medals. They are just being vindictive.

  5. As a person, regardless of his/her sex he/she won the medals so he/she should keep them.
or at least I think that's what I mean.

    1. Gets a little confusing, doesn't it? I just got lambasted on Facebook by a guy who thinks I was attacking Jenner because I used "he" ... despite the fact that I was defending Jenner.

  6. I agree with you Mark on two points - losing them for Reality TV, bleah, who watches Reality TV anyway? and what does it matter? So many people today get caught up in other people's business. Live and let live. He won them. He keeps them.

    1. I wish they'd take out the word "reality". Nothing real about it.
