National Telecommunicators Week

I'm too full of rage to talk about the Boston Marathon tragedy right now. Instead, as this was already National Telecommunicators Week, I'd ask that you take a moment to send thoughts and prayers to the 911 operators/dispatchers of the Boston area. These men and women, already stressed by a major event in their city, are among the unsung heroes who have to hold it together when everything is falling apart.

    Nice post Mark. I love the prayer! Sounds like a job I could never handle because I can't deal with the sight of blood. Prayers for Boston.

      Of course, as a dispatcher in a 911 center you seldom have to actually see blood! It's not something that bothers me, though. Vomit, on the other hand ...

    We tend to think of first responders, without a thought to that miracle worker who gets them where they need to be - who is the first line of defense for the victim. Thank you so much for this reminder. That's a beautiful prayer!
