ReplyDeleteYes, which is exactly what I didn't like about NaNoWriMo. I did win it once, but it doesn't suit my writing style at all -- the manuscript was such a mess that I didn't pick it up again for almost a year.
DeleteI just don't write in a headlong rush except in certain spots. That exercise isn't for me. As for the mistakes thing, you are right. That is for editing to remedy.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. I did indeed win NaNoWriMo once, but it just doesn't suit my style--and fortunately, I'm not one of those who needs the push that month gives.
DeleteLol so many writers have a love-hate relationship with Nano. I don't think it's my style of writing either. We're already chugging along so I don't see the need for the extra pressure. Some of my friends are having a good, productive time though. Kudos to them!
