Novelist. Firefighter. Mustache owner.
I like it!
Thanks! I'll pass that one to my editor/webmaster/book designer/wife!
The cover is even funny. A toss-up between the dog and the editor job.
At least we didn't have to pay the dog!
Looks good, Mark! It's a good cover--but the title should be bigger (and darker). There's an unwritten law in publishing (or so I'm told) that the title is larger and above the author's name until the author achieves bestseller status.
Makes sense to me.
I agree with Norma Beisher about the cover being darker and bigger. Otherwise, great cover!
Excellent. I do agree about the title, though, a little larger I think.
Emily made that change, and we should have a look at the proof copy soon.
I agree with Norma and I like the cover.cheers, parsnip
Very nice, Mark and Emily.
I get half credit for all her hard work!
I like the idea of using an old-timey newspaper layout. I think it would be even more eye-catching if you used some of the funnier lines from your book instead of the filler text. Perhaps you were already planning that. Either way, it's different from everything else I've seen as far as humor essay book jackets go. Should do well standing on shelves. Good luck!
Different is good!
I love it. Nice job.
Thanks, Donna! Hoping to have it out near the beginning of next month.
Thanks! Just between us, it's already available on Kindle; but we're making the formal announcement around May 1st, when we get our first print order in.
