Stone's Trace Photo Slam 3: It's all an act

Not long after we arrived, I ran into a Confederate General and wished him a good morning. He looked back solemnly and replied, "It's a good day for a war."

The number one thing you have to remember about historical reenactors is that they take it very, very seriously.

If you're a young lady in need of an escort, you could do worse than a Confederate officer and two soldiers.

Shawnee? Miami? Delaware? Whichever, this Native American tossed me a look that told me his next words were going to be "Yes, ma'am".

It appears Benjamin Franklin stopped by to visit this general of the War of 1812. Never mind that Ben passed away in 1790.

Okay, so the costumes aren't perfect: For instance, the fancy digital camera carried by this young lady seems a trifle anachronistic. Maybe Doctor Who gave it to her? While we were signing books, a kid touched my camera and asked if it was an old historical model. Ahem ... it was not.
