The Walking Nerd

We watched episode 1 of The Walking Dead after dinner -- with commentary by the producer. Definite proof that Emily and I have earned certified geek status. I didn't realize until later that there was something of a sacrilegious irony in watching a show about dead people rising ... on Easter.

    I've seen snippets. I'm not a fan of the zombie genre, so I tend to avoid watching films and shows with that topic.

      I'm not generally a horror fan, but Emily is huge into zombies and vampires (but she hates the sparkly vampires!) I started watching The Walking Dead because she wanted to, but I was so drawn to the characters, writing, and excellent production design and atmosphere that it's become one of my favorite shows.

    I don't normally fall into the zombie thing either, but I just couldn't help but enjoy Resident Evil; I just love seeing how tough that woman can be and how she uses those weapons. Awesome! Wish I could do that! (Have some people in mind...no, just kidding). Take care!

      Kick-ass women are just ... well, kick ass! I love a strong female character. On The Walking Dead all the characters are written and brought to life so well that it's become one of my favorite shows on TV.
