Am I the only one bothered by the fact that The History Channel -- excuse me, "History" -- honored our fallen veterans this Memorial Day weekend with ... a Pawn Stars marathon?
I watched The Wicker Man and Queen of the Damned and the news. That was it yesterday. We went to the bookstore where they celebrated Memorial Day in a nice way.
Here they advertised the Hatfield and McCoy miniseries heavily as being a Memorial Day special -- but they didn't show the first episode until Monday night. I DVR'd it, but since that really happened in the area where my grandparents came from, I'm not too worried about being spoiled.

ReplyDeleteMaybe not watching TV at all should have been the way to go for all of us!
DeleteHere on this side of the border, it was running the first part of a Hatfields and McCoys miniseries.
ReplyDeleteI have found it annoying in the last few months that the channel broadcasts a fair amount of Nostradamus predictions and ancient aliens crap.
