Farewell to
fellow author Carrie Fisher … of course, she was much more than that, but I
personally believe writing a good book is way harder than acting. She wrote
four novels and memoirs; she also had a great reputation as a script
doctor, working on movies such as “Hook”, “Lethal Weaon 3”, “Sister Act”, and “The
Wedding Singer”. Reportedly she also worked on the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy,
but no writer is perfect. I believe Fisher was the youngest cast member of the
original "Star Wars" … and less than
ten years older than me when she passed away.
This year can't end soon enough, with everyone who's passed on seemingly before their time. She will be missed.
ReplyDeleteI really would like to know if there's been a marked increase in celebrity deaths this year.
DeleteVery sad.
ReplyDeleteVery much so.
DeleteShe was the life of the party at a writers conference where she spoke years ago. She was good at everything she did.
ReplyDeleteSomebody online was in a panic, urging someone, anyone to hide Stan Lee, who just turned 94.
I thought of Stan Lee, and my wife mentioned Betty White.
