I walked into Dollar General today and found a whole aisle of Halloween crap for sale. Almost got kicked out for telling the workers I wanted the heads of their corporate bosses on a platter. August 15th. August 15th, people!!! Two and a half months before Halloween. It's criminal.
Why do stores feel the need to start holidays SO early. Let us finish enjoying summer. I don't need to be rushed any more than I already am in life. Halloween is an awesome holiday- but I don't really need to start thinking about it until the end of September.

My thoughts exactly! But we can only complain to the store employees, who are doing what they told and probably agree with us.
DeleteIt's two months of hearing "12 Days of Christmas" that make people hate Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. I love Christmas music -- but not while Trick Or Treating.
DeleteI usually see Christmas stuff replacing Halloween stuff BEFORE Halloween! It really aggravates me, especially since I'm a procrastinator and wait until the last minute to buy holiday things.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't get me started on Black Friday, which people start lining up for instead of enjoying Thanksgiving with their family...
I've absolutely seen Halloween shelves and Christmas shelves, side by side in the same store. Makes me crazy -- as does Black Friday.
