I think that makes sense, and there's a lot there to think about. Regardless of everything else in the argument over self vs. traditional publishing, one bad thing about traditional is that you can't set your own prices.
If that study's accurate, it contains some pretty good clues. Of course, you have to price low enough to sale, but high enough to make a living (or at least pay some bills).
This is a great blog post, and it does make one ponder. I think the cost should be in the middle so that it will be fair to both author and reader.
